Breaking | New Minimum Wage, NLC suspends strike

Ayuba Wabba, the National President of the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC), reported this while instructions columnists at the Labor House in Abuja.

Wabba said that the sorted out work has got solid responsibility from the legislature, that the Tripartite Committee of the Minimum Wage Committee would reconvene on October 4.

“We request this will be the last session of the panel and a last report will be submitted to Mr President promptly.

“Keeping in mind the end goal to benefit the board of trustees of the essential favorable condition to hold this pivotal gathering and finish up it’s work, sorted out work has… chose to suspend the hit activity with impact from today, Sunday September 30, 2018,” he said.

This implies specialists are relied upon to continue on Tuesday, as Monday has been announced an open occasion by the government to stamp the October 1 Independence Day.

The specialists are requesting another lowest pay permitted by law of about N50,000 rather than the current N18,000.
