Breaking | Buhari Accepts Resignation  of Women Affairs Minister

Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Senator Alhassan Jumai Aisha.

President Muhammadu Buhari has acknowledged the abdication of Mrs Aisha Alhassan as Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development from the legislature with prompt impact.

Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, affirmed this in an announcement in Abuja on Sunday.

In a letter he marked on Sunday, President Buhari stated,

“I have gotten your letter offering your abdication as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“I acknowledge your acquiescence with prompt impact.

“For the benefit of the administration and individuals of Nigeria, I thank you for your past administrations to the country.”

The presidential associate uncovered that the president had coordinated that Hajiya Aisha Abubakar, the Minister of State, Industry, Trade and Investment to manage the undertakings of the Ministry with prompt impact.

Aisha Alhassan had on Saturday reported her renunciation from President Muhammadu Buhari’s bureau and from the decision All Progressives Congress (APC).

Alhassan pivoted her acquiescence on her preclusion in the screening for the 2019 Taraba state governorship challenge by the APC National Working Committee.

She said she was chopped out with no feasible or certifiable reason.

“On the off chance that I am bad enough to challenge decisions in the APC, at that point I believe I am not additionally fit the bill to remain a pastor in the APC government,” she expressed.
