Two PDP Agents held for Buying Vote Attempt

Police on Election Duty in Osun State have captured two suspects for charged endeavors to impact voters with cash.
Muriat Olalekan, 61 and Hamzat Muniru, 65 were captured at St. Mary Grammar School, Elewe-Iwo.
It was accumulated that the police recoveredN 604, 000 from them.
As indicated by the suspects, the cash was given to them by one Akin Abiodun, a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ward administrator in Molete Ward 1.
Affirming the capture, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Operations and security Coordinator, Joshak Habila said the case was under scrutiny.
He said the police would capture, explore and after that handover all suspects to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Hebila stated: “Up until now, there have been capture for a few infractions. Someone was found examining how much cash is to be shared.
“I don’t have the report on the quantity of captures made yet I realize that at the very least two individuals have been gotten for attempting to impact votes.
“We will capture, explore and afterward, hand over to INEC for indictment.”
The traditional ruler of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, has hailed the peaceful process so far witnessed in his domain, adding that anybody who loses the election under this circumstances should accept the verdict and leave every other thing to God Almighty.
Oba Lawal, the Lamisa 1 of Edeland, said prior to today’s election, he and other authorities have been appealing to all stakeholders to tow the path of peace, “because it is the Almighty God that enthroned rulers.
He added: “The atmosphere of peace is key to development. For development to happen in any community, there must be peace.”
