ANGRY YOUTHS SHUT DOWN A POLICE STATION
There was a conflict between adolescents of Awkuzu people group in Anambra state and the Nigerian Police Force, Oyi Division, over the demise of a motorcyclist prevalently known as Okada rider.
As per reports, the Okada rider was erroneously killed by the cops amid a watch in the network yesterday evening.
The passing did not run down well with the young people in the network as they prepared themselves and raged a police headquarters resulting to the escape of some prisoners. A few officers who were on obligation – supposedly took to their foot rear areas to abstain from being made up for lost time in the assault as the villagers overran the station.
Following the order of the state governor, Dr Willie Obiano, to the Honorable Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Uchenna Okafor, peace has been reestablished in the network.
The official met the furious young people who had as of now invade the police headquarters and encouraged them to quiet down as he told that the cops in charge of the Okada rider’s passing will be conveyed to equity.
