OBIANO PLEDGES SUPPORT, HOSTS POLICE GAMES IN NOVEMBER

The governor of Anambra State ,Chief Willie Obiano, this afternoon received the delegation of Police Sports Committee who mulled that the state is to host the 2018 Police Games scheduled to hold in November this year.
This was revealed when the Committee paid Gov Obiano a courtesy visit at the governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.
Led by the Chairman of the Committee and Commander, Nigeria Police Academy, Kano, Assistant Inspector General, Sani Mohammed, was in the State to solicit the support of Anambra State Government towards the 2018 Police Games coming up in the State in November this year.
The Governor, while playing host to the committee, said that Anambra State remain the safest in the country and the Nigeria Police has played a critical role with his support towards its realization.
He explained that because of how important their jobs are to the sustenance of the security agenda of his administration, his government will continue to support them.
The governor said that when he receives the details of the event he would consider how and areas he would be able to render support.
AIG Mohammed had said Anambra was chosen because of the governor’s visible interest in youths and sports development, commending him for his overwhelming support to the service.
He appealed for support to enable them organize a successful sporting event in the State.
